Buying **600 litres of diesel at the maximum price** would cost 4,644 PLN including VAT on 8 October and **4,692 PLN on 9 October**. That is **48 PLN more** for the same fill. Against the cap for the programme's first three days, it is still 36 PLN less including VAT.

Base a route quote on the price you expect to pay for fuel, including any agreed discount. Settle the completed trip using the actual purchase recorded on the invoice.

## When will the weekend caps be known?

On non-working days the price announced on the last working day applies, as the [Ministry of Energy](https://www.gov.pl/web/energia/maksymalna-cena-detaliczna-paliw-obowiazujaca-9-pazdziernika-2026-r) points out. The caps for Saturday and Sunday will therefore come from Friday's notice. Last week, the Friday notice [item 964](https://www.monitorpolski.gov.pl/MP/2026/964) also covered Monday, because the next caps were announced on Monday and applied from Tuesday.

For refuelling on Friday and over the weekend, two notices matter: today's for Friday and tomorrow's for the days that follow.

Thursday's caps and the comparison with Wednesday are in our [update for 8 October](/en/blog/cpn-fuel-prices-2026-10-08). The [guide to Poland's October CPN package](/en/blog/cpn-poland-october-2026) explains the programme, the VAT and excise changes, and the wider implications for carriers and freight forwarders.
