Product updates

Welcome to the LiteTMS blog

Read as markdown

This is the LiteTMS blog, and it exists so we can explain the product and the industry around it with enough room to finish a thought.

We build a transport management system for small and mid-sized carriers. Most of what we learn ends up inside the software, but plenty of it never fits into a tooltip. That is what this space is for.

What you will find here

Roughly four kinds of posts.

Product updates cover what we shipped and what it changes on a Tuesday morning when three trucks are waiting on paperwork. Guides are the practical ones: moving off spreadsheets, getting drivers onto the mobile app, keeping CMR documents somewhere you can actually find them again. Industry insights look at the regulations and shifts that land on Polish and EU carriers whether they asked for them or not. News is reserved for the bigger announcements.

We would rather publish one post worth reading than four that fill a content calendar.

How we write

Every post is a markdown file in the same repository as the product. There is no CMS behind this blog and no editorial workflow. A post ships the way a feature ships.

That has a side effect we like. Because the source is markdown, you can read any post in its raw form by adding .md to its address, and so can whatever AI assistant you happen to be asking about transport software. Just the text, nothing wrapped around it.

A note on what we will not do

We are not going to tell you that thousands of happy carriers already run LiteTMS, because they don't. We're early, registration is still gated, and pretending otherwise would be a strange way to open a blog.

What we will do is stay specific. Orders and contractors are free and unlimited. You pay for the seats and the services you actually use, every paid feature shows its rate and usage in the panel before anything reaches your bill, and you can stop whenever you want with no minimum term. If a post ever promises something the product doesn't do, tell us and we'll fix the post.

Questions people ask

What is LiteTMS?
LiteTMS is a transport management system that a carrier runs for its own operation. It handles orders, drivers, vehicles, contractors, documents, and billing. It is not a load board or a freight exchange, so there is nothing to browse and nobody to bid against.
How often will you publish?
There is no fixed schedule. We publish when we have something worth the read, which in practice means a few posts a month rather than one a day.
Can I read these posts as plain markdown?
Yes. Every post is served as a raw markdown file alongside the HTML version, which makes it cheap to feed into an AI assistant or into a reader that prefers plain text.
