Poland's maximum fuel prices for Wednesday, 7 October 2026, will be 6.86 PLN/l for Pb95 petrol, 7.74 PLN/l for Pb98 petrol and 7.80 PLN/l for diesel, including VAT. Tomorrow's diesel cap falls by 0.02 PLN/l, while both petrol caps rise again. The Minister of Energy announced the new limits on 6 October in Monitor Polski 2026, item 974.

Both sets of values come from the original notice, item 974 (PDF). The retail figures include 8% VAT.
These caps apply at all filling stations in Poland. Stations can charge less, so comparing their prices can still affect the fuel bill. The effective date is confirmed in the Ministry of Energy announcement of 6 October.
What changes from 6 October?
The changes per litre, including VAT, are:
- Pb95: +0.07 PLN, from 6.79 to 6.86 PLN/l.
- Pb98: +0.08 PLN, from 7.66 to 7.74 PLN/l.
- Diesel: -0.02 PLN, from 7.82 to 7.80 PLN/l.
Diesel gets a second consecutive reduction, though a smaller one than Tuesday's 0.06 PLN/l cut. Both petrol grades have a second increase. The comparison uses notices 968 and 974.
CPN price history from 3 to 7 October
Friday's notice set one group of caps for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. New limits followed for Tuesday and Wednesday. The table covers every day since the October edition began, including the announced prices for tomorrow.

Since rollout, the diesel cap will have fallen by 0.08 PLN/l. Pb95 will be 0.13 PLN/l higher, and Pb98 0.15 PLN/l higher.
What does the change mean for a truck's fuel bill?
Buying 600 litres of diesel at the maximum price would cost 4,692 PLN including VAT on 6 October and 4,680 PLN on 7 October. That is 12 PLN less for the same fill. Against the cap for the programme's first three days, the difference is 48 PLN including VAT.
For a Wednesday route quote, use the price you expect to pay for fuel, including any agreed discount. Settle the completed trip using the actual purchase recorded on the invoice.
